Mazda5's enhancement for the 2010 model year is on the Sport trim with five-speed manual transmission that now is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control System. The 2010 Mazda5 is powered by an all-aluminum 2.3-liter, four-cylinder engine, producing 153 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque.
A flowing wedge-shaped body with solid proportions defines the exterior of the Mazda5, while inside the cabin, the Mazda5 offers a flexible seating arrangement. The large sliding doors and low floor allow for fluid ingress and egress, and a one-touch walk-in mechanism offers easy access to the third-row seats.
The third row seats are split 50:50. They can be tipped forward individually and folded flat to create a flat load area, ideal for carrying mountain bikes or bulky sports equipment.
The Mazda5 features theater-style seating. The driver benefits from excellent visibility, improving primary safety as well as making driving more enjoyable. Additionally, three-point seat belts and head restraints are offered for all six seats.
